Caen is a city located in Northwest of France, in the Basse-Normandie region and the Calvados department, 10 km from the Channel. The city has been under the English occupation during the 100 years War. The city is also called the city of the Hundred Bell Towers, vestige of the time before the Second World War, the city has been razed at 80% during the Normandy landings on june 6th 1944 and it's possible to visit today the Memorial for Peace.
