Paris, City of Light, is the Capital of France in the county of Ile de France. Beautiful and romantic, Paris has a vast influence in the realms of culture, fashion, art, and gastronomy. It's one of the more touristic cities in the world and one of the largest in Europe. You can visit several monuments which the famous Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral on the Île Saint Louis, the Arc de Triomphe or the Catacombs, the Louvre museum , the Georges Pompidou Centre or the Place de la Bastille where the French Revolution started in 1789. And you absolutely may visit the more beautifull avenue in the world, the Avenue of the Champs Elysées, and its luxury shops.
Several train stations are available: Gare de Lyon, Gare du Nord, Gare de l'Est, Gare Montparnasse, Gare Saint Lazare and Gare d'Austerlitz. The town has a good subway train system, the Métro and express lines for the suburb called RER. By air you can leave and arrive by the Orly Airport and Roissy Airport. |
