Tasiilaq (or Amasalik) is the the largest municipality of the east coast of Greenland and covers an area 5 times the size of Denmark; 1.852 people living in the town. The city is beautifully situated in a fjord surrounded by high mountains.The sailing season runs from the beginning of June to the end of October. Traditional equipment such as kayaks, harpoons and especially dog sledges are still in regular use today.
