Solar dos Marcos is a historic palace reconstructed from an old episcopal residence (18th century), located in the village of Bemposta, where D. Manuel Martins Manso, bishop of Guarda, was born and lived. The Bishop Martins-Manso will have added the chapel to the original building, in honour of the Virgin Mary, in the 2nd half of 18th century.
