The Pousada de Angra do Heroísmo - São Sebastião, is installed in a fortress of 16th century - known as well as 'Castelinho de São Sebastião' (Saint Sebastian's Little Castle) - constructed after the demand of King D. Sebastião. The castle is surrounded by high walls, but some parts are nowadays in ruins. Even though, it still preserves its most characteristic elements. The Pousada is located in the village centre of Angra do Heroísmo that, in 1983, was classified World Heritage by UNESCO.
