Our wonderful location gives you the opportunity of stepping onto the lake land fells, boarding a steamer on Lake Windermere or visiting some of the many attractions the Lake District has to offer. Yet the hotel is only 20 minutes by car from the M6 and a very short walk from the main bus and rail services.

Crompton House is a warm and friendly Victorian guest house located midway between the busy villages of Windermere and Bowness. The guest house is a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, with an excellent location in the English Lake District National Park, Windermere. The 7 guest rooms are non-smoking and each has an en suite bathroom. There is one four-poster room, one family room and 5 double rooms. A grilled full English breakfast is served in the dining room, as is a good choice of cereals, fruit and juice from the buffet table. Within easy walking distance there is a host of restaurants catering for all tastes and prices. There is also a cinema, nightclubs, pubs and shops. You can catch a steamer from the pier at Bowness for a memorable trip on the lake. This is a 3-star rated guest house.

A choice of 5 double en suite rooms is available, 2 having four-poster beds and 2 with views towards Lake Windermere and the distant fells. LElim House è situato a un minuto dallattivo paesino di Bowness e dal Lago Windermere. Judith e Steve vi offre un'accoglienza calorosa, una cucina fatta in casa e un'atmosfera piacevole. Nella zona, troverete numerosi negozi, ristoranti e cinema, tutti raggiungibili a piedi dall'hotel. Il Lago Windermere dista soltanto dieci minuti a piedi. Qui i più attivi avranno la possibilità di praticare numerosi sport acquatici, mentre chi desidera una vacanza all'insegna del relax potrà fare un giro sul lago su uno dei battelli a vapore e ammirare lo splendido paesaggio. Nota bene: l'hotel non ospita bambini in nessuna circostanza (vedere Informazioni importanti). Pensione a tre stelle.

The superb location makes Lingmoor Guest Accommodation a great base from which to explore the stunning natural beauty and breathtaking scenery of the Lake District, which so inspired Wordsworth, Wainwright and Beatrix Potter. Windermeres train and coach station is just a 3-minute walk away and all of the towns pubs and restaurants are within easy walking distance. This family-run house was built in 1854, by and for the local railway, which arrived in Windermere at that time. Today, the house still retains its beautiful original exterior, its slate roof and several other lovely period features.
