A traditional, Lakeland house with character offering a warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere. Only a few minutes walk from the centre of Windermere village and railway station. The Ravensworth is a detached 19th century traditional stone character guesthouse. Easy access to the many attractions of the Lake District National Park. We are very close to shops and restaurants. There is ample space to relax in our lounge, dine in our charming conservatory or chill out on the terrace. There is a pub only minutes walk away. Our bedrooms have double, super-king size, twin, single or four-poster beds. Every room is centrally heated and each has its own en suite bath/shower, direct dial telephone, colour television, hair dryer and clock radio with alarm. Complimentary refreshments are offered to morning and afternoon arrivals. Our aim is to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible, our hope is that no one leaves disappointed

Crompton House is a Victorian built guest house which retains a lot of character, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The guest house is ideally situated in Windermere, midway between the busy villages of Windermere and Bowness. Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, the number one location within the English Lake District National Park, Windermere. We have 7 guest rooms, all are en suite and non-smoking. We have one four-poster room, one family room and 5 double rooms. In our dining room of character we serve a full grilled English breakfast with a good choice of cereals, yogurts, fruit, and juice from our buffet table. Within easy walking distance there is a host of restaurants catering for all tastes and prices, the local cinema, nightclubs, pubs and shops and the pier at Bowness where you can catch the steamer for a memorable trip upon the lake. 3 star rated guest house

This 4-star property, located in the picturesque town of Windermere, is set in a quiet area just off Church Street, within walking distance of the train station, shops and restaurants. Wheatlands Lodge is a traditional family owned and run Lake District residence, dating from around 1860 set in delightful gardens. The property has recently undergone a total refurbishment in 2007, introducing contemporary style, yet still retaining many of its original features. This friendly lodge has the benefit of free on-site parking which is unique to this area, considering the short walking distance to the main attractions of Lake Windermere.

This 3-star rated, Lakeland-stone, Victorian house is set in a quiet side street, approximately 5 minutes walk from the train/bus station. Jo and Alan offer quality accommodation and excellent value for money. They are very happy to advise you on any walks and have maps to assist you. They can also book you on to tours and make dinner reservations for you at one of the many excellent restaurants in the surrounding area, or beyond. The house is situated opposite Ellerthwaite Park and is a gentle 20-minute walk from Lake Windermere itself.

Later try one or even two of the quaint pubs around and about in bowness. For an intimate evening in we have now built a cinema room to enjoy your very own viewing of films from TV or dvd on the big screen ( yes we even can provide the popcorn )
