This inn nestles in the peaceful village of Monkton Combe, surrounded by picturesque hills and valleys. Recently refurbished accommodation houses 7 luxury bedrooms with bathrooms or showers. There are 5 doubles, one twin and one single room. The pub offers an informal area to relax with a drink or dine. Menus are changed regularly and include bar snacks, light lunches and a la carte selections. Local ingredients are used where possible. You can relax with a drink by the open fire or in the garden. Our 2 buildings were originally constructed by William Harold, a carpenter, who built a house and workshop around 1750. In 1871, William Harold III converted the house into a public house and in 1981, the workshops were converted into bed and breakfast accommodation. Close to the Roman Baths, Pump Room and the new Thermae Bath Spa, it is far enough from the bustle of the city to be a perfect retreat. We recommend that any Health & Beauty treatments are booked prior to arrival to avoid disappointment. The hotel is set in a peaceful location but just 15 minutes walk from the city centre. Wentworth House Hotel is an imposing Victorian mansion built in 1887 for a wealthy merchant and his family. The house enjoys a peaceful location overlooking the beautiful city of Bath. Although just 15 minutes stroll from the city centre, it is a haven from the hustle and bustle.
